Beyond The Sea (3.4 mg) The voal is not finished, but the music is kind of cool. Dream Lover (3 mg) - This is my other Bobby Darin tune. Workingman's Blues (3.76 mg) - From the new album Modern Times . A plain interpretation, but nothing but the original came to mind here. When the Deal Goes Down (6 mg) - Another from Modern Times. This one is based on an old Bing Crosby number (see youtube for the video). Aint Talkin' (7 mg) - Not sure what this is about, but it is nice and depressing. Probably about war, religon and politics. I put a Mamba beat to it. Hey, I think sounds great. Moonlight (3.7 mg) - From Love and Theft Poor Boy (4.6 mg). This is a newer 30's jazz song that originally came from Love and Theft. Think Leon Redbone. My version has some original lyrics since I found the original to hard to sing. Father of Night (2.6 mg). Just a simple acoustic number. The original comes from the most underatted Dylan album, New Morning. I cant help falling in love with you (3.76 mg) - Another great Dylan arrangement from Self Portrait. Just silly. Masters Of War (5.2 mg) - The eternal protest song Mutineer (4.36 mg) - Tribute to the late Warren Zevon. Wild Mt Thyme (2.8 mg) - Differs from Cash arrangement City of Gold (4 mg) - Just sitting temp until a better version comes along 90 Miles an Hour (3.36 mg) - Another great Dylan arrangement done in the nadir of his career. Silly, but fun. I Feel Love (4.7 mg) - just an experiment Everything is Broken (3.5 mg) - Kind of a rock verison.. Obviously 5 Believers (4.5 mg) - Just practicing new keys and drums on this Rockabilly song. I want you (5.4 mg) - Just practicing my new guitar synth on this somewhat cheezy pop song. Miss the Mississippi (2.8 mg) - Why not, I say? Moonshiner (6.7 mg!) - I like this song quite a bit. Catfish (5.6 mg) - Slow acoustic type blues. The original comes from the late seventies but not released until later. R. Bruder is on harmonica. The lead is a combination of acoustic and electric. Dirge (6.9 mg) - Melodrama from Planet Waves. I heard a latin rhythms and scorching leads. Down in the flood (4.5 mg) This is based more on the recent Masked and Anonymous.. Mine is quiet and jazzy.
Girl From the North Country (5.9 mg). This is based on a newish live version which can only be described as nearly classical folk type guitar. I put loud drums and a full band and a 4/4 beat just to be annoying. But I think it came out OK. The chords are derived from the Dead's Friend of the Devil. Golden Age (4.7 mg). This wonderful Beck song reminded me so much of the Almond Brothers that I tried to do some leads like that.
See That my Grave is Kept Clean (3.8 mg). This Blind Lemmon Jefferson song came up on Dylan's first album, but also appears from time to time with various artists. I even think Led Zeplin did one. My version is just an acoustic guitar and vocals. Your a Big Girl Now (4.7 mg). A jazz version, with my only jazz bass solo. Blowing in the Wind(2.7 mg). Here, I used the original rhythm, but with a fuller band sound. Corina, Corina(4.0 mg). Apparently, the original producer got in trouble for making it sound 'too much like Elvis'. I contiuned that theme here. Lay Lady Lay(2.9 mg). A little too close to the original. |
